In September 2018, a group of military history enthusiasts were granted access to the Magazine of the No.1 Gun. This was the first time for many years that access had been granted.
My thanks to Chris Lee, one of the party, for these photographs. They show that despite flooding, the Magazine is still in good condition. I can only hope that it is drained and opened to visitors at some point in the future.
